InterLake attends customers in over 35 countries. When it comes to our server locations we rely on some of the best data centres worldwide. Due to the global server and content distribution we can guarantee a high degree of availability and performance as well as a high failover protection.

To gain and maintain maximum capacity and geo-targeted delivery we operate our own Streaming Delivery Network (SDN) for live and on-Demand media delivery.

Data Centers

When it comes to reliable hosting connectivity is everything. For this reason we cooperate with some of the best data centres worldwide. At InterLake you will have access to over 40 GBit/s of external connectivity. That means quick loading times and high multi-user capacity for your website.

Currently InterLake is operating servers at five data centres in Europe, three in the US and one in China. We also manage numerous servers in our customer's own data centres or collocation facilities.

Our well selected server locations guarantee excellent peering to all major international networks.

Security

There is only controlled and exclusive access to all data centre buildings. To access the data centres you must sign in with a valid photo ID and wait for your access varification through the security staff. Some locations use biometric scan technologies instead of security personnel. Inside the building the entrance to the data centres is also restricted. Security gates, key cards and extra locks on the racks guarantee entry only to legitimate individuals.

Fire Suppression

We count on an active fire suppression system with dry pipes and pre action alarm in most locations. The control centre permanently monitors the heating sensors. In case of a fire the sensor alarm activates the so called FM 200 fire extinguishing system.
Using this system instead of water ensures the least possible server damage. By using FM 200 instead of water servers will suffer only a minimal damage in case of a fire. Of course, the fire equipment is redundant just like the entire infrastructure.

Cooling and Water Sensors

Several independent climate control systems keep the temperature and humidity inside the data centres always at a safe level. Furthermore built in water sensors will go off in case of an emergency.

Power

All data centres are connected to two respectively three separate power grids. This way we sufficiently ensure redundancy. In the unlikely event of a complete power breakdown an additional diesel reserve and batteries will keep the power up. Besides that the batteries are also a damper. In case of power surges they still provide the servers with 'clean' electricity.

Racks

The InterLake servers are stored in separate racks that are secured by key codes and standard locks. Customers with several servers can rent an entire rack for their exclusive access.

Network

The networks we connect to are redundant all throughout Europe - up to the last stretch of network within the data centre. The fibre optic ring structure and the numerous peering points to other carriers ensure high availability and a scalable bandwidth. By using carrier owned and operated infrastructure we minimize the use of congested public exchanges and private peering points. We provide high transmission speeds, minimal data packet loss and excellent service quality to multiple carriers.
